Avatar admin | April 22, 2024

Overview:

Rob discovers Radical Defense suppressors at CANCON 2024 and is impressed by their low back pressure 556 suppressor. Radical Defense uses 3D printing to make small, lightweight suppressors for belt fed and standard rifles. We're looking forward to doing more testing in the near future, these cans look very promising!

Hey everybody, Rob Orgel at CanCon. We're here in Phoenix, Arizona as always, cause I don't like moving around. And I walked across this booth and said, who the heck is this guy? I don't know this guy. Tell me about this guy. What is this? - So we're Radical Defense. We go by RD. We do 3D printed suppressors. We're out of Houston, Texas. So we do cans mainly for belt fed machine guns.

I don't know if you got just the M2 suppressor behind you. That's on the Humvee. - 50 cal. - So that is our suppressor that's up there. We specialize in belt fed suppression. And then we've taken that technology and we've adapted it for use on carbines. So that's what we have out here at the show is our carbine cans. - So I've got a belt fed and I don't like shooting it suppressed. It's just way too gassy. It's way too in your face. And you're specifically designed to not do that. - Yeah, so we have our breathable technology. So it creates a lower back pressure in the can itself.

One of the design flocks that we have is we want to have an agnostic effect on the weapon, which means we don't want to have to modify the host weapon. We don't want to have to gas it differently and anything like that.

So we tune the suppressors to optimally flow that gas out. So we're not getting additional back pressure to the shooter. - Those of you who follow the channel know that Rob hates back pressure. And as soon as I saw these, I was like, "That is a reduced back pressure suppressor." And I bet you have one in 556 specific. - We do one specific for 556. We do one specific for 300 blackout, 762NATO. So this is our 762NATO can here. This one was actually designed for 300 blackout by a military customer. And then we do our LS5 suppressor, which I don't know if you guys heard of the Hunter Summit that Thunderbeast hosted. So this was the number one rated can as far as decimal reduction at last year. - Somehow we haven't heard of you. We got to fix that.

To get onto my channel with the reduced back pressure, 556 is my thing. I love it. I'll do the other stuff, but I got to start with my favorites, right? So a reduced back pressure 556, and then this super light, super quiet. Is it quieter than a Nomad L? - We're sitting around 132 DB. - It's quieter than a Nomad L? - Yes. - Okay, I got to get hands on top. I got to test. Alrighty, so we were just talking with Vick again after we cut that last video. Holy cow. He's got this six inch 3D printed, and it's on a six inch AR and no problems. - No problems. - And it's quiet as all get up. - Yeah. - I mean, it's that tiny, that light that, okay, but don't go too short and you've surpassed that. - Yeah. - Alright, well we got to shoot it. - You got to shoot it to hear it. - Dude, I love it. I love it. And you know even, you got it. It weighs just nothing.

So. - There you go.

(gunshots) - Man, and I'm not even gassed out. As the lefty. This thing is nuts. I got to have one. I got to have five. Dude, thank you for showing this to us. - Absolutely. - I mean, I didn't know who this was when I walked. Rndusa.com. - R.D. USA. - R.D. USA. Like R.N.D. but R.D. USA. - We do a little bit of R.N.D. and R.D. - Yeah, a little bit, right? Makes sense. What other than it? Dude, we got to get one of these. We got to do a full review. This thing is nuts. - Thank you. - I love it. And thanks for sharing. Thank you for sharing, dude. Love it. Oh, so cool.
