Hey everybody, Rob Orgel, we're at CanCon 2024 and we're in the PTR booth. And there is, I mean, the industry is buzzing with the PTR new silencers. One, we're new to the industry and silencers. Yes sir. Which is kind of like, all right, let's see what they got, right? Are they any good? PTR has been around a long time. They know what they're doing. But silencers is new. And the practice point is a bit aggressive for the new guy. Sure. Unless you've got something really cool to offer, which is? Exactly what I think we're offering, you know, we're doing stuff that nobody else is doing. We're really trying to push the envelope. You know, myself as an engineer, my design philosophy is like, there's a lot of good cans out there that are just regular baffled cans and stuff like that. So let's try and take it in a direction where other people aren't going and, you know, show people something that's new and that the industry isn't really completely stagnated. Right? So. I love it. And I've been told it's crazy quiet. It is. It's light. Yep. And it's reduced back pressure. Correct. All things that we pretend exist in our world. It is. And kind of the coolest part, at least my opinion is not only is it reduced back pressure, right? But in a traditional sense with reduced back pressure cans, what you're doing to increase your at ear metric is reducing your mouth and metric. Right.
But what's different about PTR and this purposely induced porosity technology is you're actually enhancing your muzzle suppression while simultaneously increasing your at ear metrics. So it's kind of a best of both worlds situation. We're light, we're stupid quiet. We're all things perfect at the muzzle and at the ear. We're a little pricey, but we're about to, I mean, we're going to put money. Yeah, the person in the pudding, right? Like what? We're going to see. I can tell you as much true information or BS and it's hard for you to differentiate between the two, but shooting it kind of is where it's at, right? And we've got this silencer on the way to us. It's shipped Friday. We should have it like Tuesday, which means we're going to be testing like soon, much, much more. And next weekend. Yes, sir. We're coming back out just for us, just for the viewers to go through your suppressed lineup and do a little head to head testing. And then once I have the silencers, we're going to go deep down the rabbit hole of muzzle flash, back pressure, all the fun stuff that I know you guys love. I mean, it could be the next best thing.
Let's see how she runs. We got her mag. Absolutely, man. I've had it. All right. I teared up just a little bit. I had to take a slight pause. The lefties get the gas. It is, if there's a little bit of gas, but compared to most other five, five, six rivals, especially Daniel Defense, it kind of over gasses a little bit. Not bad overall. And that sound, that's quiet. Good tone, good sound, you know, nice test mode reduction, all that good stuff. I can't wait to have it like on a quiet range, doing this controversial test we've got going, where my buddy sits here with no hearing protection and he tells me what he thinks. And that has been like subjective, but really quantifiable oddly. I look forward to that day. So if I take my ears off now, I wouldn't be sorry. Sure. Super love the product, super love all the things you're putting together here. And I cannot wait to do more testing. Well, man, well, thank you very much. We're excited for it. Thank you. Absolutely. Looking forward to much more. As always, stay safe, like, comment, subscribe. It's free. We'll see you in the next one.
