Overview:
Rob checks out JK Armament's modular suppressors at CANCON 2024 and get's some hands-on time with the JK 155 G.O.A.T., JK 155 SBRX, and JK 155 PCX. The ability to customize the length of these suppressors allows you to augment performance characteristics of the suppressor. We're looking forward to doing some more extensive testing soon.

Hey everybody, Rob Orgel, we're at CanCon 2024 and we stopped by the JK Armit booth. I've got a couple suppressors of the 12 gauge suppressor. Been doing some testing on that, five seconds really interesting results. I mean, weight savings, you're killing it. But everybody on the channel is saying, Rob, you're doing five, five, six, head to head. Where's the JK Armit? - Yes sir, yeah. So right here, we have our GOAT 556. This is gonna be a high flow suppressor. It is purpose built and designed to ground up four, five, five, six applications. - So not so much gas to the face, specifically designed. - Very low pressure, high flow, high flash reduction. That was a significant factor for us when we were designing this, is we didn't want it to be another loud high flow camp out there. This had to compete neck to neck. Sounds pressure, flash suppression, low back pressure, high flow, going for all of it, right? - So back pressure is my arch rival. Those of you who follow the channel already know, I hate back pressure. - It sucks when you start going to town and it's just like, you're burning your eyes. - Yeah, you're tearing up and it is just not good. Felt recall, blah, blah, blah. It just sucks. - Absolutely. - So this guy's solving that problem. And it's user modular. - Yes sir, yep. So every one of these baffles individually threaded. So one of the cool things, and this is, you know, eventually I want you to test this. I wanna see you put it on a 10-5, 12-5, 14-5, a 16.
With a similar overall length, you can, so take that 10-5, you're gonna wanna run the full configuration. Maybe I wanna run a 14-5, I might go down to three baffles. - Three. - You're gonna have the same overall length firearm, similar self suppression, but what did I just gain going 10-5 to 14-5? - I like this test. So you're getting 16 inches or 18 inches across the board each time. And you're listening for the sound difference and flash. That'd be a fun test. - But think about this. So 10-5 to 14-5, how much velocity did you just get?
Substantial, you're going for around 25 to 26, up to maybe even 27, 2800, depending upon your load. - Exactly, so if I can get all of that extra velocity with same sound performance, same overall length, which way should I go? - And no SBR if you're pinning well. - Exactly, exactly. Okay, so that's the next test we gotta do. - Perfect. - And you've got a demo coming our way so we can beat the snot out of it. Our viewers are gonna stop complaining that I don't have one yet. Hit one, wait, and then we'll start our testing. - Yes, sir, we'll make it happen. - Great chat with you. Love the look of the silencer, love the modularity, can't wait to test. - Absolutely. - All right, so we've got a Springfield Armory AR-15. You might recognize it's that funny look at long range guy.
Didn't do so good. They wanted too much, I mean, it's a weird configuration. Anyways, it's not been modified, it's gas. This is standard gas in their 556 GOAT suppressor. I'm gonna do a mag right-handed, I'm gonna do a mag left-handed, I'm gonna try to gas myself out. Here we go. (gunshots)
Not bad. All right, here we go, lefty.
Oh boy.
Not bad.
Little bit of gas, but on a standard gas system, I mean, that's not bad at all. And quiet wise, I mean, I can't wait to get it away from all this and do some real testing, but this can show some promise. Stay tuned. If you wanna see this can get tested and much more to come, like, comment, subscribe, it costs you nothing. Don't be cheap.
